Pilot training for the project “Peaceful Communication – the Language of Life” (No LT03-2-SADM-K01-034)
The pilot training for young people started on 24/02/2023.
Training topics:
– What is NVC?
– Awareness of feelings, needs and observation skills training
– The four-step model: observation, feelings, needs and asking
– Developing empathy
– Anger management
In the sessions that have already taken place, the adolescents have learnt about peaceful communication; they have learnt how to build a sincere relationship with others; they have sought to know their own and other people’s feelings and needs; and they have discussed topics such as moralistic judgement, comparison and responsibility. Together with the adolescents, they discussed why certain ways of communicating lead us away from our innate state of mercy. The teenagers realised that when we analyse others, we are actually expressing our needs; judging and categorising people is not a form of peaceful communication. An attempt was made to highlight the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions, thoughts and feelings.
The project is funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism Health Programme 2014-2021.
